The Effective Development Group has been involved in providing design, monitoring and evaluation services in numerous countries across the globe.
Africa
Progress for many countries on the African continent has taken a slow pace with many sub-Sahara African nations working towards, but unlikely to achieve all the Millennium Development Goals by 2015. The Effective Development Group has worked in the Democratic Republic of Congo, South Africa, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
Asia
Asia is the world's most populous continent with approximately 4.1 billion people. Despite significant progress in trade and technology nearly half of the region’s population still lives on less than 2 USD per day.
The Effective Development Group has worked in Afghanistan, Cambodia, China, East Timor, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Mongolia, Nepal, the Philippines, Sri Lanka and Vietnam.
Europe
The quality of life for people in many European countries, particularly in its eastern region, has increased with more countries enjoying the benefits of the European Union; however the financial fragility of several Central and Eastern European nations remains with poverty, especially in rural areas still a reality for many. The Effective Development Group has supported interventions in Georgia and Serbia.
Pacific
With 98 per cent of the area being ocean, the Pacific region is made up of more than 7,500 islands and spans over 30 million square kilometres. This diverse area is divided into three sub-regions: Melanesia (west), Micronesia (north) and Polynesia (south-east).
The Effective Development Group has provided support to programs in all three sub-regions and a diverse range of countries, including Fiji, Kiribati, Nauru, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, the Solomon Islands and Vanuatu.
